We visited Brussels a long time back, probably 6 years back not so sure of the time frame and fairly new in exploring Europe. Brussels was basically just exploring the city by foot. So in the centre of Brussels lies the Grand Place (The ‘Grote Markt’ in Dutch).
The central square is considered one of the world’s most beautiful places as it is surrounded with a variety of incredible buildings, covered in highly detailed and gold-coloured details, such as the ‘Hotel de Ville’, the city hall. In short covered and beautified with aesthetic wealth.
The square is on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1998 and it’s easy to see why. It’s a nice place to sit down and watch the world go by and if you get the perfect weather then you get the perfect snap of the place.
