One of the day in the 6 days visit to budapest, we decided to take a tour to the place named Szentendre an artistry village. It is known for well preserved houses and churches. Today the village comprises of artists living there and small galleries can be found on every corner.
Once you reach the place, you will find bucolic riverfront settlement located less then 20 km from central Budapest. It’s easy to visit Szentendre from the capital city by ferry boat, commuter train, car and even bicycle to enjoy assorted exhibitions, shops, and restaurants.
I liked the artisans village as not only it had shops selling some unusual artifacts , but the village also had these colourfully decorated lanes, since we were there during the winter it had those Christmas feel around and especially liked one place where all the umbrellas had kind of decorated the sky with a nice touch to the lane. The pics of the place.
