When I first tried to venture in Zurich, wanted to explore the place on a budget. And when you are looking for something that might work on a budget we also look for some of the free things that you can do in a city.
If you want to see the city on a budget, one of the first things to do is take a day pass of 8CHF, this lets you travel all the trams and buses within the city. But if you want to explore more and get the best of the city then you can purchase the Zürich Card.
So of the free things to see apart from the city itself, the one shortlisted was The Zoological Museum at the University of Zürich. The Museum is home to 1500 animals, there are some places which are written in German. So in the start I was a bit disappointed at the lack of my understanding what is going on. But later on you can hear singing wales and buzzing insects on headphones and also touch and feel the fur of deer or wild boar.
Apart from having the liberty to look at the smallest insects through magnifying glass and the wildest animal within the glass frames. I also liked the fact that I could capture some of them in perfect pose without even trying to wait for the perfect snap. How cool is that!.
