Paris was the first European city we had visited in the month of March. The simple reason for choosing Paris was not just because it is the most sought out tourist place, but another reason was, if we apply from UK for a Schengen Visa we get it for 6 months with multiple entry to all the Schengen listed countries, provided our first entry into Europe should be France.
We were there for 3 nights with all the vigour to explore the first part of Europe. Starting with none other than the city of lights cycling tour. Its an evening bike tour starting at the Arc De Triomphe, which takes 4.5 hours and we get to see the top attractions like Champs-Elysées, Opéra Garnier, Place Vendôme and the Eiffel Tower, in their illuminated twinkling sights. During the ride we also took in the local nightlife atmosphere, which I felt like the city is always awake, bright and shining.
There is also a 1 hour Seine boat cruise with wine included, where we see the illuminated sights again but via enjoying the river cruise. The tour then ends at the same place from where we started.
In those 3 days we explored the city, via foot, cycle and cruise and my recommendation would be to land in Paris in the afternoon and then take the cycling tour and then you can start the next day entering the monuments you would want to visit.
